New to our programme for 2009/10; the construction of Chalet Gentiane was completed last year, and will be furnished during the course of this summer; it has been built to our specifications and finished to a high standard. The entrance to the chalet is on the first floor with two bedrooms on this level and another four on the level below together with a sauna. All bedrooms have full en-suite facilities.
The open plan dining area and lounge are located on the top floor with seating around a glass-fronted log burning stove. Balconies on two sides provide stunning views across the valley towards Montchavin in la Plagne and the Vanoise express which links to the two resorts.
Location:
The chalet is just 50m from the piste which gives direct access to the 6-seater chairlift out of the village; the Vanoise Express for skiing in La Plagne and the ski school meeting point. At the end of the day you can ski back to the same spot. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | Breakfast, afternoon tea and 3-course evening meal with wine for 6 days (self-serve breakfast for the chalet staff's day off).
For breakfast you can eat as much or as little as you like. Choose from fruit juice, cereals, muesli, fresh French bread with butter and preserves, as well as cooked eggs, porridge or one of the hot options and of course tea or coffee.
For afternoon tea, the most informal meal of the day, help yourself to home made cake or scones and biscuits, either eaten at the table or relaxing.
The evening meal is a dinner party style meal for adults and older children and is served at 8pm. For children aged 11 and under, high tea is served at 6pm, with child-friendly food. If you are travelling with children 12 years and older who require high tea, this must be requested prior to departure. If you are booking the whole chalet then you may all eat at the same time regardless of the age of the children.
Please mention any allergies or dietary requirements at time of booking and we will do our best to organise suitable catering for you. French supermarkets do not have the same range as British supermarkets, therefore if you have very strict dietary needs, it is helpful if you can bring a few items (e.g. gluten free cakes/biscuits for afternoon tea!) |
